UBC-OCEAN Competition
Helping organize an ovarian cancer image-classification competition.
I helped with the UBC-OCEAN competition, organizing information and relaying it to competitors. The challenge brought together participants working on ovarian cancer subtype classification and outlier detection from pathology images.
Supporting the competition
My contribution focused on coordination and competitor communication: helping information move between the organizing side and the people building models. This was an opportunity to support a research community working with a challenging medical-imaging dataset.
